MBox Help!! Monitors and Mix Knob
I have a pair of KRK V4 powered speakers hooked up to the Line Outputs of my MBox. The Mix knob, which I move around often when tracking with headphones, controls the master volume of the speakers. So if I want to turn the Mix knob all the way to the right when tracking, the speakers are WAY too loud. I would think that the output levels would be controlled by the headphone jacks, so that way the headphone and speaker volumes would be consistent. Am I doing something wrong? Is it possible to track with the monitors on and still use the Mix knob? How can I fix this problem? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

Re: MBox Help!! Monitors and Mix Knob
If you're coming out the line outs from the MBox then the headphone knob will have no effect. The line output level is determined by your master fader inside Pro Tools -- if I understand correctly. My first guess is that your speakers are simply turned up too loudly.
It's very handy to put a mixing board between the MBox's outputs and the speakers, giving you a hands-on nearby volume control.
