DM2000 mixbuss vs HD mixbuss

A friend who owns Nuendo told me about an article in MIX where a wellknown engineer is outfitting his studio with Nuendo and the Yamaha dm2000 console. I know the mixbuss topic has been often discussed and that alot of pros mix out thru analog SSLs and Neves etc.
Could somebody tell me if the mixbuss in the DM2000 would render a better (less degraded?) finished product? If so, being a digital console, what and where would the benefits be derived?

bp78, ...I've been torturing my mind between a PT/HD or Nuendo/DM2000 system for 6 months now. At last the DM2000 is here so I'll have the chance to "test" its integration with Nuendo. Yamaha seems very confident about sound quality and something tells me they might be right.

What about the 02R 96K? I use an 02R with Pt, 32 outs direct out mode.
