Default Elastic audio vocal tracks

1 lead track
2 dubs 1L 1R
Some backgroundvocals here and there.
If i want to manually correct the main vocal with Elastic Audio and use this main vocal as a ”template” for the other tracks to quickly quantize those tracks after the main vocal, how do i do that?

Best regards Christer

Once your "guide" track is sitting where you like, leave that track showing WARP view. Then put the other tracks right under it(they probably are already there) and use the "guide" track markers to show you where to slide the other track markers.

Some EA guidelines:
#1-before moving anything, duplicate the playlist(its always good to save the original audio...JUST IN CASE)
#2-anchor the audio you are working on by locking(or adding) a marker at each end of the screen(so you don't accidentally move audio that is off the EDIT window). Ctrl-Z gets a lot of use during EA edits
#3-huge adjustments are more likely to cause artifacts(garbled audio), so sometimes its better to move a clip, as opposed to stretching it
#4-once you are happy and disable EA(and COMMIT the adjustments), audition it right away(so, if it sounds bad with artifacts, you can Ctrl-Z/undo).
#5-sometimes, it sounds fine UNTIL its committed. If that happens, don't COMMIT the edits, instead, bus to a new audio track and record it
#6-sometimes, it sounds better adjusting time in Melodyne(if you happen to have Melodyne)

Thanks Albee, that is my current workflow, they way you described it.
Can you not extract a groove template using beatdetective on the main vocal and use that as a quantize template on the other tracks?

I doubt it as BD works by chopping at all the transients(but feel free to try it. I never thought about it). ReVoice Pro and Vocalign are 2 great tools that are designed to do exactly what you need(and probably either has a free trial)
