Default Mastering question - Bob Katz' book

Page 209: Mastering from Stems.

Bob gives an example of three stems:
Lead voc; Instr; and TV (instrumental plus chorus).

1. What does "TV" stand for?
2. And does this literally mean a stem with vocals only during the chorus' of the song? (or is the term 'chorus' meaning say backup singers?)

Thank you,
Mike.

Television Mix

Usually the full mix minus lead vocal so a singer can sing to the album track for an appearance on a late night talk/variety show
