Hey Fellow Swede

Connect midi in from 303 to Out on interface and in from interface to out on 303

Make sure you setup the MC303 under Midi Devices and check the box for that.

Thenyou should be able to use it in Pro Tools.

You do need to have an audio track rec enabled in order to hear the MC303 and on the Midi track choose the MC303 in the Input and then arm it.

If you have PT HD you can use input monitoring and on PT12 Non HD you have input monitoring now with 12.1 i believe so press the "green i" on the Audio Track and record enabled on the midi track

You will probably see midi from the mbox in midi devices so check those boxes and see if you get this going.

If you have it connected to the Mbox in midi input 1 you need to choose that same input port on the midi track (midi port 1 or 2) so it sends and recieves midi from the MC via Mbox

Also make sure that Midi Thru is checked under options i think in PT menu.

I think there is a coice in the manual of the MC 303 to toggle OMNI ON/OFF

Check that function and set it to OMNI ON and see if that helps.

I had on of these once way too many eons ago to mention and I remember we had to fiddle a bit to get it working properly.

This exact same thing you describe happened to us a few weeks ago when we dragged out our old Roland SH-201 and it only worked the way you want to when we used the USB cable as midi option but you should check out the OMNI function first.
