10.4.5 ....am I hosed?

Hey all,

I updated my G5 the other night from 10.3.9 all the way to 10.4.5

When I fired up Ableton Live last night it couldn't detect my 002 as its input or output

I didn't have time to check if LE would work with it or not...

Am I hosed ?

Some people have reported that 10.4.5 has been working ok (most of those were people who went to 10.4.4 and got hosed).

Are you using the latest CoreAudio driver version? Make sure you have one that's compatible with Tiger, and also make sure your PTLE is also Tiger compatible (6.9.2 or 7.0). Since 10.4.5 is not supported yet, it could be the defining factor in your troubles, but make sure everything else is up to spec first so that you can know for certain.

I see that I am going to have to reinstall an older OS and then reinstall PT LE.

I have a session on Wednesday, and no time to do this before then.

The session is with Ableton Live 5. Could I use my 002 with my Powerbook? The PB has 10.4.2 on it. I've never used the 002 with the PB before. The PB has Live on it, but it doesn't have PT LE.

Would I need a driver of some sort to use the PB with the 002 as an interface for Live? Or am I hosed again?

You'd just need the CoreAudio driver for Tiger

Thanks a lot. I'll be able to give that a shot when I get home from work tonight at 8PM - just as the podcasters will be arriving!

It'll be fine. I've always got my Ozonic and the old Mackie 1604 if the driver deal doesn't work out.

As of last night I am running PTLE 7 and OSX 10.4.5 without any problems

10.4.5, LE7.0cs4 and seems to be fine except for some redraw problems on Native Instrument's B4 II, which is grayed out except when you click on keys, etc. but sounds fine.
