hardware connection error please help

I keep getting this error when trying to connect either a Command 8 control surface or a Novation midi keyboard with Automap (separately not at same time, both use USB). They seem to clash with my MBox Pro in some way. Anybody can help please?


After I setup the hardware in midi controllers and ok it, the error message pops up and reads this exactly:
"The installed version of the controller personality "MBox 3" is incompatible with this version of Pro Tools.

Pro Tools v11
Windows 7 64bit Ultimate

Hi few things to try !

Delete databases and preferences

Check for other audio aplication installed if any that can see and use the controller or mbox. Also the ones running at background and if windows is using the mbox as default playback device.

And last reinstall PT and Eucon again.

I think that may have solved it by deleting all the preferences. I just need to ensure my plugins are functioning again and I think the problem will be solved.
