Petition
I just purchased a Digi001. I would also like to see these drivers. I am a longtime Cubase/Event user. I have accumulated serveral expensive plugins along the way. The Digi001 was purchased as a matter of convenience. I am now working with a Mac PT user. I was shocked to learn that the session files are not cross platform compatible. Strike 1 against Digi.
I must say that the PT interface is extremely clean and efficient. I think Steinberg spends too much time trying to make their software look good. I think Digi has missed out on a great opportunity to capitalize on their name recognition in the PC arena. They could clearly dominate the home recording market if they chose to do so. They have already given up alot of ground to the likes of Cubase/Event/Creamware/Motu. By offering support of DX & ASIO they give users of these products the incentive to migrate to their product without losing the investment they have made in costly software. The home PC recording market will continue to grow. Digi will decide if they become a force in that market. I hope they do. |
