Not sure what you're looking for here, but never heard of sysex messages specific to PT. PT can record and play back sysex messages. That's covered in the manual. Check out midi.org for technical info on sysex.

Thanks for getting back.

Somewhere, I assume, there is a list of codes for different functions in Pro Tools, e.g. transport Play.

I just finished building a MIDI translator for my Eventide H8000s from a Korg NanoKontrol.

Eventide supplies the MIDI SYSEX codes, e.g. Machine A/B = Hex F0 1C 70 01 01 0F 0D 0F 0F 0F 0D 0F 0F F7.

Korg supplies the CC#s for their controller.

Somewhere the information must exist, as how does e.g. Mackie write a HUI control surface template for Pro Tools.

Translations can be useful to remap keys to ones you use the most or build macros.
Thanks for the reply...

Transport can be achieved with MMC (MIDI Machine Control). You can find that in the spec at midi.org and also check RPN NRPN there. As far as faders, pan, etc., HUI and MCU are proprietary protocols. You can find those in public domain source code projects, but it will take some digging.

Did some digging found this on Wiki:
"The HUI MIDI mapping protocol is a proprietary communications protocol for interfacing between a hardware audio control surface and digital audio workstation (DAW) software."

I'll live without re-mapping :)

Thanks...s
