Can PT 6.9 and PT 7.0 coexist on the same system?

Can PT 6.9 and PT 7.0 coexist on the same system?

Does anyone know or have PT LE 6.9 system coexistant with PT LE 7.0?
Does PT6.9 have too be removed before installation of pt 7.0? There seems to be no requirement in the PT 7.0 upgrade document that indicates 6.9 should be removed.
I would really like to have PT 6.9 preserved and have PT 7.0 available too; probably wishful thinking.
