WELL guys with similar set up (digi 002/C24) what do you do to offer more than a feed from main out 1-2 to musicians?
i wast told to run all mics inst through a allen and heath WZ3

Check out this thread: http://duc.digidesign.com/showthread.php?t=253286

We are using HD hardware, but the idea is the same. You have maybe 8 analog outs on the digi 002? 1st pair is your main L/R outs, next pair is headphone 1, next is hdph 2 and so on.

Use the sends from individual tracks to whichever output you need to send them to, as desired by the talent. If you were to do mono cuemixes, you could achieve 6, or 3 stereo or any combo. Of course you will need a multi channel headphone amp.

edit: I'm don't know the C24 well but I would think it could do @ least 2 mixes via aux sends or something(just thinking that because I can on my D8B & u know the C24 looks just like it)

New each of 4 players(I have a small studio) gets the main mix(same as I hear at control) with more of whatever they need(usually "MORE ME").

With my i7 rig, I record all day at the 64 buffer so latency is never an issue. I also know which plugins have a ton of latency and simply don't use them when tracking. I actually almost never have a latency issue at all by careful choice of plugins and leaving the big hogs until mastering. The only plugin I use in mixing that has lots of latency is AutoTune, and even that one rarely causes a timing issue during mixing. Of course, your needs may push things differently.
How many times are we gonna explain this in the same thread

yes i do...sorry for the miscomm.. i was under impression that of all 002's eight analog outs only 1 and 2 were low latency in rec/mode...can reducing buffer (64) like i do in logic do the trick?
??

thanks for your patience

dont wanna turn this into another digi bashing thread.....
i have been using PTLE since v.6.4 (not very long) I fell in love w it for the same reasons as many of you did, however the way digi slowly but surely charged us money for enxtra tracks, inst, tool kits etc our still (crippled) LE system is still lacking some very ESSENTIAL features included in even some "consumer type(logic) apps" i hope for the sake of HD investors, who benefit from all these "big time pro" features (adc) etc. DIGI adress the issues that plague those of us that can't afforf to move to HD soon before the next PT knock off BIG BAD DAW that will let you choose your interface becomes a reallity.
by the way an ADAT i/o on C24 would have been nice

i love the software,i dont love the LE hardware limitations..

sorry for bad grammar
