Default Velvet or AAS-Lounge Lizard?

Now that IEP is out for AAX I've got a decision to make. I'm a long time Lounge Lizard user, and have been eagerly awaiting their AAX release. BUT Velvet has beaten them to the punch. Anyone who's played with both Velvet and Lounge Lizard care to weigh in on which they like better and why?

Thanks

Default Re: Velvet or AAS-Lounge Lizard?

I own them both. Lounge Lizard sounds more "analog" and a bit warmer/darker, but you have a nice EQ in it to make things shine. I love the plug. I have the new Velvet AAX and played with it last night. So my INITIAL opinion is the the Wurlitzer in Lounge Lizard is pretty sweet and can't be beaten. The Marks in Velvet have more variety in presets and I like the metal sense a bit better in Velvet. If you can afford both, get both. LL will be AAX in a few weeks. If you can't get both, go with Velvet. A caveat; if you buy the IEP complete there are some problems with Strike and Structure right now.
