Default Re: Overdubs to playlists help

Coming from logic pro where comping is a breeze I really don't understand pro tools in this regard. It's a painful workflow to have to manually create playlists for every pass.

It should be simple - if I record over some existing audio then it should automatically create a new playlist comprising of the existing audio with the new audio recorded in place - then I can easily get back to what was there before.
