For those interested it looks like June 6-7 is the revised release date for the Axe FX 2.

I found it quite amusing that Cliff basically said that the 11R is an expensive toy, and yet the Axe 2's "new feature" list sounds very similar to the spec list of the 11R....

I think it's been said of writing, that good writers borrow from others, the best writers steal .

I think this is just another case of that . Chris Townsend the creator of True-Z might well be chuffed with himself saying, yep, I got it first, and he stole it from me and now more guitarists get to benefit from my idea. Though he might be a 'tad' miffed also .

It's also amusing that Cliff has said to guitarists on his forum that the Axe FX might not be for them. Well, then perhaps he should clarify just who it is for . And what they might try .

Intelligence and communication skills don't always go hand in hand with some people and he's a perfect example. Best thing he could do is pay someone to proof all his responses to remove all the condescension prior to posting... It's irresponsible and such a turn off. I'll certainly never purchase anything NEW from Fractal. I can't contribute to a company with such disregard for the people that help put or could potentially help put food on their table.

That clip sounds very meh . Certainly not enough to make me part with what might be $4,000 AU ($4,280 US). Not to mention the cost of a VHT poweramp plus two 4 bee 12's. Or, maybe he's just not a good enough guitar player to be demo'ing a product like that. And really he should learn what the term hi-gain actually means .

I'm sure that there will be better clips after the thing is "officially" released. When players with some actual talent get a hold of the thing.

Mark Day is an excellent ambassador for the product and a good player. NO doubt the Axe 2 and any version of it are very solid and has some amazing features.

However, if you are trying to convince me that the tone created there is far and away better than what I have with my 11R all the while spending much more $$$, then I'm just not buying it.
