Unhappy Drum Loops - Suggestions?

Does anyone have any suggestions on any good DRUM LOOPS that work well with Pro Tools? I have been struggling with my Roland TD-10's for some time now and just can't seem to land the results I'm looking for...... Tired of trouble shooting and investing 10+ hours on drum mixing/correcting alone... At this point I'm ready for a quick solution.......

I haven't the slightest idea where to look for a loop package that contains good fills and tracks that are easily implemented into pro tools.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Stylus from Spectrasonics www.sprectrasonics.net with the extra expansion packs.

EZdrummer from DFH

Strike from AIR/Digidesign

These are all VI plugins, alternatively you can buy drum loops in REX format.

Question Re: Drum Loops - Suggestions?

Okay; so I found some pretty decent drum loops (.wav samples) --- so let me ask; is there a particular app out there I should use to splice these babies together? Or will Pro Tools do a decent job at this?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Can't help you with audio loops but the ezdrummer midi loops work very well. The midi loops in ezdrummer are easy to get to, double-click on any to audition and drag them onto an instrument track while in GRID mode and they will snap to the grid. If you decide to change the tempo, the loops adjust automatically. Plus, you can play the ezdrummer sounds via midi from your roland kit with almost zero fuss. Just insert ezdrummer on a stereo instrument track and run a midi cable from the TD10 to your interface. That is now my regular recording setup for drums(but usually with real cymbals and hat with 3 mics).

You can try this for 30 days http://www.propellerheads.se/products/recycle/

or you can drop them on the timeline and cut them up yourself.

Stylus RMX with Backbeat Xpander for regular drum work.

Deep program that really shines when you get into multi-channel output.

Combined with Strike, the combination can only be beaten (pun intended) by a really good, live drummer.

Hi
I ama newbie to Pro tools and I used beat Monkey audio loops for a while the loops are pretty good and affordable.
I have now moved onto EZ drummer and I must say it was money well spent. I got it with Vintage Rock expansion pack bundled for free.
I am very pleased with EZ drummer it seems to be great fopr a newbie.
good luck
