Default Mini grand problem - reverb and digital/distorted sound on notes

Hi there, new to all of this. Just loaded up pro tools and set up a track with mini grand. When I hit the keys I can hear notes through my speakers but they've all got a reverb and digital/distorted sound attached to them. There are no other inserts attached to the track.

Why could this be?

Mark

Hi,

Not really enough information about your routing to help. but i would suggest starting a new session with just one instrument track and insert Mini Grand and see what happens. also try different presets within mini grand. check the effects balance isn't right up as the mini grand has built in reverb so maybe its getting turned to 100% wet somehow, so check this is down to around 10-20% to test.

If you're on a mac running Sierra there's a known issue with Mini Grand and Structure. Just do a search to find more about it. We're waiting on a fix from Avid.

How did you resolve the issue with your mini grand?

I am currently experiencing the same issue you described.
