Importing 8 Bit WAV Files
How do you import 8 Bit WAV Files into a session as clips?

Won't PT import and upconvert? If not, maybe Wavelab or similar can do the conversion.

I did a quick test with some 8-bit reference files, and it seems to be working in PT 10. Admittedly, there probably aren't many people working with 8 bit files, so it doesn't get much exposure.
Where are they from? If you want to send one in for testing, send it to ProTools_Transfer @ avid.com.
