Crash when importing
I have a chronic problem with crashes when trying to import files. The crashes happen after selecting 'import audio to track', but before anything can be imported. This happens with any type of file, and seems to be worse the longer I've been working(after 6-8 hours). I regularly defrag my drives. Any ideas?

Re: Crash when importing
Bruce,
Crashes while importing audio are usually related to some type of drive problem. When you go to import audio Pro Tools will poll all available volumes. Make sure all of your SCSI drives are formatted with ATTO Express 2.7. If there are any firewire drives attached make sure they are formatted with Apples Special > Erase Disk. I have also seen problems with too many files in a single directory/folder. Mike |
