Default cannot see either transport

Yes...I saw the other posts regarding this and the replies did not help.
17" monitor.

When I click arrow in upper right corner of screen..... it doesn't matter if I click on TRANSPORT or EXPANDED....when I do that... nothing on the screen changes... and I still can't see transport.... it is buried to the right side of my screen.

Also tried drop down menu and clicked on transport.

Neither of these brings up my floating transport either. Where is it?

If I open a new project... I can see BOTH transports.... so I can't figure out what it is I'm doing that removes them from view???
thanks
ron
