Default PT First and iCloud

Can a PT First file be saved to iCloud?

Also, where can I find a PT First file without opening it?

Thanks,
E

If you are referring to the project file, then no, you can not store your projects in iCloud. PT First uses your Avid account to store your projects on Avid cloud storage.

Projects are cached locally, but again, you can not open PT First projects locally and must use the project dialog to both open and manage your projects.

You can export mixes of your project and can store the audio files anywhere you wish.

Hope that helps.

Yes, that does help. Thank you, junkgear. How do I arrange to have a project file stored on Avid cloud storage? Once it's stored there, I can retrieve it from Avid, right? Is there a fee for this?

Every time you create a project in PT|First it will be stored on the Avid "cloud", there is no other option. There isn't a fee to get access to your project, but if you need more storage (for more projects or a large project) then you have to pay for that storage.

Just to be clear, the point of PT|First is everything is on in the Avid "cloud", there is no option to save your project locally or any other online storage.
