Make a list of plugs not being ported AAX?
I can see GForce, SSL, Serato have said no so far.
And out of the plugs I use regularly - U-he are "waiting" before committing to AAX. Linplug have just announced that they're not planning on making Cronox, Albino etc into AAX. Camel Audio have no plans for Alchemy etc either. REFX are unsure about Nexus but Vanguard is a no-no. Spectrasonics say they're commiteed to AAX but "We don't have a release date to announce as of yet." Last edited by remute; 06-21-2013 at 02:07 PM. Reason: Updated info |

Clear yourself from the negative my friend... Think Positive!

I talked to a guy on the Development team last night for a good 22 mins at REFX and if we can get users to email them and that it is a substantial number of users needing this then they will consider Nexus2 and their new sample machine to become AAX so start emailing asking for AAX and remember, Be polite as we will get much further with that :) Just need ta say : We really need refx to go aax and would be much appreciated as there is not anything similar to Nexus2 out there at all. Take gare guys and I will keep working on Refx as much as I can :)

Re: Make a list of plugs not being ported AAX?
With the apparent growing list of plugins suppliers that are NOT going AAX it's beginning to look like a whole bunch of VEPro licenses are going to be purchased. Which might not be all that bad considering an AAX upgrade might not be a freebie and costs would add up to probably being more than what VEPro costs.

If it's a similar figure for Camel Audio, Linplug etc you can see why there's a hesitation on their part. |

Re: Make a list of plugs not being ported AAX?
While I do agree that the topic is a negative one, there is a possibility for healthy information if we can sum it up.
AFAIK, the following are not AAX-ready: - Lexicon (everything) - Serato (everything) - Abbey Road (everything) - TC Electronic (most plugs; but they have their radar plugin as AAX) - Eventide (most plugs; but they have some AAX-native plugins) - Waves (everything; but they have announced AAX-native plans)

Re: Make a list of plugs not being ported AAX?
I don't see this thread as being negative. The fact of the matter is that some developers are saying that they won't/probably won't release AAX versions and it's helpful to know which developers/products they are for many reasons.

Re: Make a list of plugs not being ported AAX?
I asked REFX 5 month ago before buying Nexus. And they promised me they will make an AAX update. But they couldn't say exactly when.
So I went ahead a bought it. Will be disappointing if we wont see an update. Anyway, I emailed them again |
