Well, I have to give Russ and his cohorts credit for attributions now that Russ has help with the site - wish they did more attribution with the new team members. Based on the attribution for this particular posting under discussion, it was Mike Thornton that posted it to the site.

Before Mike and Eric Johnson joined and the subsequent re-name to PTE, I think it would have been fair to say that the AUB was the training and sometimes editorial digital-embodiment of Russ. Now, not so much...

OK, call me a "fan boy" - but don't expect me to care much about that opinion. I read the PTE as often as I read the AAF.

BTW - DTS: Would you kindly suggest to the rest of the Avid team that having "HD" in the updater file name (as opposed to leaving it out like in "Pro_Tools_10_1_1_Updater_75589.dmg") would be MOST helpful to those of us who sometimes don't get time to update our systems until our eyes are bleary with fatigue at the end of a long day... Got bitten by this one just recently. The 23rd to be exact.

Won't be upset if it comes out in the AM and give us a 10.1.2 update so this time we be in front of HD. Let's hope we don't need to go to church for this update to be real. Lennon said the beatles are more popular then jesus in the USA....

It is taking them awhile just to give us the AAX versions of stock plugins...so how long before the Instruments get updated? Version 11 might be out before that happens.

Actually, this is a question I have been meaning to ask. - I brought PT9 then upgraded to PT10.. this means I have the RTAS native? - and then I satrted to see posts about AAX in PT10 that will be available?

IS this something we will get for free? at some point? or more aimed at 11? as anything to speed up the RTAS is good for me, good for you, and good for the lil men who run my CPU chips!

Holy cow guys. You read somwhere that sombody other than AVID said they were doing a new update. Digidesign support was on here not long ago and said they were working on it. I dont think they gave any such date of a new update. If its causing you this much problems why dont you just back date in the meantime if you can. At least you will have a stable system isnt that the goal. I use HDX and have noticed a few weird things since updating to 10.1.1 I almost always do. Im gonna give it a couple more days and see how it goes. Seems faster but have noticed little glich,s but it could be on my end just as easy.. Because I heard a girl that told her neighbour that told a smurf who said Jimi Hendrix told the AIR blog then they put it on there site. (grow up) At least thats what Helen Keler told me
