Default HD7 voice count

If I was to build my system to a HD7 what would be the maximum voice count currently I'm on HD3 but I've just brought a chassis and am thinking of filling it right up

Thanks

Ok sorry but here goes - I just looked at the HD8 setup guide (running HD1 pcie w/9) but looking for setup help.

Guide says total available tracks at 88.1 or 96khz is 48, but my system never let's me run more than 24 is this machine counting stereo as 2 tracks????
So if I get another card I could run 96 total mono tracks at 96khz? Or 48 stereo, and the includes the aux tracks as well ??
Not real happy about that !!!!!!

I should charge Taptalk two pennies each time this message pops up !!!

So recording at 44.1 I'd get 192 tracks. At the moment with my 3 cards I'm using 96 voices with 2 DSP chips being used for the Mixer so if I had 7 cards what options would I get in the mix engine settings

Raoul - Do you track at 44.1k? Wouldn't everyone want to have the higest sampling rate? - Why would you need a 192io then? Just get two 96io's

With your 96 voices how many tracks are you running?

As i understand it....a voice counts as a mono track and also plugins count against the voice count....

What do you know bro......?

I record a lot of rock bands so according to people here 44.1 is fine. Apparently the 96io converters are just the same as I had in my 003 that's why I brought a 192. If I filled my chassis up so in total 7 cards I'd have loads of power so I could record at 88.2 and still go plugin mad (I use a lot of plugins in my sessions) track wise I think at the mo Ive got 2 bass drums, 4 snares, 3 toms, 1 hi hat, overhead, room, drum sub mix clean and a drum sub mix squished. 2 bass guitar tracks, 8 guitar tracks 2 vocal tracks. These are the tracks I'm using so far along with 10 aux's with effects on. I read in an article that most Nickleback songs have around 100 tracks running. So as the cost of accel pci cards are quite cheap I'm thinking what the hell fill that chassis up.

I didn't know that about the converters in the 96io

Who doesn't use a ton of plugs? That's what they are there for - eq scoop here and there - a dash of delay and some compression - air stereo width and yeah anybody can have a ton of plugs

So with those 36 tracks ur tracking at 44.1 along with ur current HD3 system - no issues handles the load ?

Yeah at 500 dollars a card that is pretty cheap compared to a few years ago!!!
