Default Track/"Channel Strip" Presets DO exist in Pro Tools, apparently...

Does anyone at Avid or anywhere else have information on these custom track type (channel strip) presets? I can't find anything about them in the reference guide or on any of the forums. People have been requesting this sort of thing in Pro Tools for quite a long time. The link below shows a picture of the track type presets in Pro Tools 10.

I like the idea. Meanwhile, you can construct your custom tracks in a "custom track" session and then use Import Session Data from any session to bring those in as you need. I did that for an instrument track with DB-33 after mapping all the plugin controls to a VOCE drawbar box(just adding the plugin would not retain the mapping).

here's the link to the "story" http://blog.mixonline.com/mixblog/20...tools-feature/

not being a facebooker, can somebody report on the comments as linked?

thoughts on this being genuine - he seems a stand up pro guy/ it's a logical place in PT for this to be accessed / presumably SOMEBODY is looking at Ideascale

thoughts on this being not genuine - Never saw this in 10.1.2, as has no one else apparently / odd selection of names for presets if this dude didn't create them himself / no methodology of how to get to this menu given

I'm thinking this is bogus but PRAYING to the good gods that this will happen....

EDIT: AVID forum dudes - you can surely say "this is not a real screen grab" without causing yourselves any of the that listed-company-problem-stuff?

Hey dude!! that's already the way to go for most.'
Usually in final mix keep the tracks all comped together and use a mixture of ozone 5 - cla aux or channels from previous mixes saves time.
love channel strip aax just forgot to use it in a session and saw this post. HA!

Yeah if avid does this maybe brainwork. cla. sonnox . ozone 5 can do the same.

For sure the top new feature and best new idea for PT.

New ideas are rare and this one is top of the top.

About time they catch up on this feature, too.

Actually it IS on Facebook. FB throws up that message if you try and look at something and you are not logged in to FB. Happens all the time. If you log in and go to the fellow's wall you'll see it was posted there about June 7/8 or so. Looking at it right now. Only two comments so far.
