Tick Based Mode = Better Auto Tune Sync????

Im getting the beachball when tuning vocals in Tick based mode. Im hopping this will improve Antares Auto Tune feature set. Which prior versions were usable, but very Underwhelming, from a feature set standpoint. Is anybody else noticing lock ups with Auto Tune in Tick mode?
