We've seen the same here - no issues after updating to 10.5.5 and I know there were a few firewire specific bugs fixed on 10.5.5...

We did also do the upgrade and there seem to be no issues, everything is fine.

Hey Avid. Here we go again! The same thing is now happeneing on my system at work. PT 9.03 on 10.6.7. I'm having the exact same issue except that now it's error (-30) instead of 12. Did you guys ever find out ht the issue was with this?

This has got to be a new strain of this error. I never got the error until I upgraded from 9.0 to 9.3. This is happening about once every hour or so and I have to reboot my entire system. Any word on how this was fixed last tme around?

Can you provide complete system details - it's difficult to troubleshoot without complete, specific information on your system.

See the Help Us Help You sticky for details on the minimum information we need to know - the more complete, the easier it will be to help.

Funny - I had this problem back in 2008 and determined the culprit was the TL Space plugin. Any session I had running it would eventually give me this crash. Once I got ride of TL Space, it never happened again.

Fast forward three years - new computer, new OS (10.6.7), and a new version of Pro Tools (9.0.3). I decide to reinstall TL Space. And it works! For a day! I come in the next morning and open up the session I had made using TL Space and got "the crash" (it was -30 this time, can't remember if is was 12 in 2008). Switched to a different reverb and haven't had the problem since.
