Default why not do one more Get Current, Get Ahead

Hi,
I just see the ADs on the special offer page of Avid official website.

Get Current, Get Ahead
http://www.avid.com/special-offers/g...rent-get-ahead

Get 1 Year of Pro Tools Upgrades on Us
——http://www.avid.com/special-offers/g...upgrades-on-us

two threads are talking about the similar things——suggest the users who work with PT9,10,11,12 which annual upgrade plan had been expired to buy one $299 Pro Tools Upgrade Reinstatement Plan during 8th-31th Dec 2016,could get one additional annual upgrade renewal plan for free.

Look about it,where are the users of PTHD?we spend more money on HD system and HD software upgrade fee,why miss us?

So why not do one similar promotion for the PTHD users, like that who register one $999 Pro Tools Upgrade Reinstatement Plan in recent days, should receive one additional pro tools HD annual upgrade renewal plan for free.
I think that should be fair enough for the current HD users.

:-)

Christmas is coming,What will be the gifts for our PTHD users from Avid?

See you:(

Indeed, although I think it's only a good deal / incentive for those who never upgraded to PT12 in the first place.

Anyone who's upgrade plan expired in the last 6 months would be a little nuts to pay for 3 years worth of upgrades, and only receive 2 years of coverage - I'd say it's better to expect to stay with your current version for the next 3 years, and when Avid make their next inevitable offer in 18 months time, take advantage then.

I find one thread in the Pro-tools-expert

http://www.pro-tools-expert.com/home...free?rq=12.6.1

the writer said:

No Equivalent Offer For HD Users
Unfortunately Avid are not making an equivalent offer for Pro Tools HD users who have let their more expensive upgrade and support plan lapse or haven't bought into it yet. This offer is only for Pro Tools Native users.

So every HD users will think the promotion is unfair!

it IS very unfair! I'm not a HD user, but can't believe how AVID has been treating HD users.

They pay a LOT of money and receive a lot less than native users.

In principle yes it's unfair. For me though, I don't seen anything compelling for me to want to make the jump from 11 to 12 with spending any money.

Not remotely fair and no reason for it. It just makes HD users (who also HAVE Digi/Avid hardware that WON"T work with 'regular' PT) feel like they are being taken advantage of. Avid should offer HD users a rebate. Ridiculous...
