Default A Digital Desk, Machine Control and Pro Tools 6.4 question. Any advice please.

Hello all

I am running Pro Tools 6.4.1 under a TDM Mix System [with a USD, Adat
Bridge 24, 888/24 a Mix Core and a Mix Farm].

My desk is a Soundcraft Spirit 328 that provides a Sony 9-pin output. The manual suggests that capability of controlling the transport remotely from the desk and even record arming towards several different recorders is there. So, I was thinking of purchasing Machine Control to remotely control Pro Tools but I thought about posting a question first whether anyone might have tried this before with any digital desk? Would Pro Tools receive all/ any Machine Control Commands? Or would there be any Pro Tools specific restrictions? Would there be any other things to consider or anything specific that needs to be pointed out?

Any help would be great.

Thanks all
