I gotta admit the Neve summing in LUNA is really sounding great and HEAT doesn’t do the same thing IMO of course and the whole summing in Luna is great and sounds fabulous but still it has to work with the setups ppl use now, not a year from now so I will bide my time.

I grew to love pro tools and I love its GUI but for Apollo owners the Luna integrates so nicely with Apollo. Future versions of Luna will have added features based upon user feedback which is nice so if you are interested in using it with hardware just submit the request via the feedback button in Luna. It is a major feature requested by many users so I imagine it should be implemented within the year.

There must be 50 plugins that do various console emulations and saturation that compete well with Heat. It really comes down to taste. There are superb SSL E, G, and G emulations. Neve 1073, 1084, and newer models. Tube consoles, Abbey Road console, and many others. as well other generic console types.

HEAT was unique when it came out, but it is just one of many flavors these days.

Like all DAW's it has strengths and weakness But in sum total the answer to the OP title question ..=.. Probably if you want it to be.

During the lockdown I've taken it upon myself to learn Logic Pro X, which I've had for years but have never used.
Pretty. Darn. Cool.
Earlier in the thread someone said Logic might be best if you're a small project studio duffer (like me) who just wants to make music.
Very true. And I've been working in Logic for a few months now and NOT ONE SINGLE 6101 or 9713 error has popped up. Imagine that.
Now if I can only get as comfortable editing in Logic as I am in PT. I'm sure I will.
All this is to say I prolly won't re-up my perpetual subscription/license/firstborn in December.

You won't get those errors because they are PT errors

Exactly, Jack. And that's precisely the point. I can't tell you how long it took me (and with a lot of help from you guys) to root out my nagging 6101 error in PT. I have spent so many days being an IT guy instead of a musician/engineer/producer.

I'm sure Logic Pro X isn't perfect but the software was written for the platform and the OS folks are just down the hall there in Cupertino. So far, and I'm knocking on wood like crazy, but I've had no crashing errors in Logic. I'm spending all my time playing, arranging, and mixing.

Most PT errors magically go away when you do a clean install of OS and install all your software manually without any migration software. Just sayin' not all errors are to be blamed at PT
