Default Westmere 2.4ghz + PE6R4/hd3 + PT8.1= DAE -1115

Anyone else running the same rig?

Pro tools will NOT open. Digitest displays the same error code (-1115).

I tried PT 8.04, 8.1, and 8.1cs1.

Macpro 2.4ghz westmere basemodel
Magma PE6R4-i
HD3 PCIx w 192

Same results when booting in 32bit mode.

Hi,

Make sure you start setting it up with just the core card and one interface!! and NO optional/third party plugins.

ilok drivers are installed ok?

what does digi test say?

Digitest didn't open. It gave me error -1115 and then closed.

Ilok drivers are up to date.

I will try to boot with just the core card.

Thanks!

Magma Host to the Mac slot farthest away from the video card?
Inside the chassis PT's cards running from farthest (right) away from power-supply.
With the TDM jumpers going B (Core)>A, B>A...
(This order works for me although not on the same machine.)

Supposedly the slot NEAREST the Video card is a 16X the rest are 4X and no way to change them

It's been alerted that computer should start in 32 bit mode in order to work with PT

Brand new Nehalem 8 core (last years leftover) here. Magma host card in slot NEAREST to video card. Core card in chassis NEAREST to power supply. Working well so far, but I'm just scratching the surface.

still no luck.

tried with just the core and im getting the same error message. tried in 32 and 64bit modes.

also tried with just an accel card to run digitest. Digitest said "Quit unexpectedly".

The magma host card is on the slot closest to the video card (x16 slot) and the hd cards are starting from the 1st avl slot (next to the taped inactive one).

any other ideas?

Thanks

Did you use Migration assistant to transfer your old mac stuff over?
