Default ...another MIDI question re: MTP XT & 001

So I've figured out how to import MIDI files from my MPC into PT (thanx to you guys!). Now I'd like to have my Express XT set up where I can hit a button and MIDI configurations will be set for either sequencer (PT or MPC). I would like to use both the MPC and Trinity as controllers also (using either sequencer), to control their internal sounds, as well as controlling my other 4 modules.

- should Trinity be set to 'Local on' or 'off'......any other settings I should know about?
- are you guys using the Trinity in 'Sequence' or 'Combi' to use multi-timbrally
- when I tried a quick test sequence, I was hearing the Trinity play even though another track was selected on the sequencer (is it cuz of local?)

Sorry this is kinda long, but if I can figure this out, I'm hoping it's smooth sailing from here on in (I know, don't hold my breath...) Thanks for you feedback!

MPC2000XL
Trinity
MOTU Express XT
5 other kybrd modules
