How to record my electric guitar using pro tools 8
ive tried for ever to try and record my guitar or bass, it will recognise it and even play the plugins like eleven, but it just wont record, im using pro tools 8 m-powered and pro fire 610 audio interface. i start a new track, mono>instrument>and on the io send i pick channel 2, which is where i have my insrument plugged in. You can hear it but when you record anable the track and press record button it stated that the recording is in process but theres is nothing there, the track is empty, can anybody out there help me with this....

Re: How to record my electric guitar using pro tools 8
Your problem is simple(and a common newbie goof). You should be recording audio(ie your guitar, bass, vocal, etc) to an AUDIO track. Instrument tracks are for virtual instruments(it combines the features of a midi track with an AUX track).
