Re: Pro Tools 12 Application Manager Question
I can find the app in Finder but not whats starting it up. The only thing I can think of is the startup file must be hidden.

Re: Pro Tools 12 Application Manager Question
Change the RunAtLoad key to false in the com.avid.ApplicationManager.plist file
in the Macintosh HD->Library->LaunchAgents There is a RunAtLoad key also in the com.avid.ApplicationManagerHelper.plist but I think better keep that as true otherwise might not work when you start Application Manager manually. You can change the file with Text Editor but make sure that the extension is plist and not changed to txt or rtf. (or download Plist Pro http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/plisteditpro/ or use XCode if you have that installed) Jesper Last edited by jesele; 05-11-2015 at 10:20 PM. |

Re: Pro Tools 12 Application Manager Question
Thanks guys. Great explanation as to what it does.
Now it seems almost needed. So I guess I will download it and instal it. Glad the issue seemed to be figured out here as well.

This may be you are looking for....
https://support.apple.com/kb/PH18786?locale=en_US Go to log out or shutdown and uncheck "reopen windows when logging back in" Maybe this has been stated, but if you had pro tools open and shut down the computer it will the mac will launch whatever apps were running at the time of shutdown. |

Re: Pro Tools 12 Application Manager Question
I just installed PT12 and have the same issue. I don't want application manager to load at startup but it is no in the login items of my user account.
i don't use PT that much and i don't want it taking up resources unnecessarily on my Mac. i see the value of this program but don't see the need to have it running all the time. Avid, please tell us how do disable this automatic start at login function. Thank you! |
