Default How to remove a marker? HELP!!

I have imported some very long audio files into a protools session - 7.1.1 with a macbook pro and mbox1. Now there seems to be a blue marker which i can not remove and every time i put the cursor at a point i'd like to play from, it returns to play from the spot where the marker is.

this might seem dumb! but can someone help me figure out how to remove the marker?

thanks
