Default PT wont let me trim a cue that has a fade on it

HI there
PT wont let me trim a cue that has a fade on it. A box appears sying there is a fade on the region boundary and trim cant be applied.
So how DO you do it.

I knew there was a fade as I put it there, but cant see why I shouldnt be able to alter the trim after.
All i can do currently is remove the fade and trim then re apply which is a very long way round.

Any ideas much appreciated.

Because you are trying to trim the whole fade, go to the end of the fade and you can trim it no problem. You even make it longer by going to the beguining of the fade and draw it longer.

Think you have to remove the fade and then trim your audio and then recreate the fades

You can trim the fade and that will trim the audio, as in you can make a piece of audio that is 30 seconds long but you only have 15 seconds showing with a fade upto 30 seconds by extending the fade then go to the other side of the fade and trim that side. You now have 30 seconds of audio with small fade at the end.

Why is that? Seems kinda stupid. No other app makes me do that....
