Suddenly lost plugin settings
I trashed my OS X prefs and now I don't see any of the default or the saved plugin settings for any plugins. Any idea how to get these back? I tried setting the root plugin folder in the plug in menu but to no avail. Only way I can load a particular setting is if I go though "import setting" in the menu and import 1 setting at a time. But there are no settings in the menu.
Thanks all. |

Re: Suddenly lost plugin settings
I've seen this a bunch of times; don't know why it happens, but here's the fix I've used...
On your system disk, go to "Users->(you or administrator)->Library->preferences->DAE prefs". Trash that folder. On restart and relaunch of Pro Tools, the presets should reappear. You'll lose your user default settings, but your user presets should still be there; you'll just have to reset them as default (sometimes I think that this is what causes the presets to get lost in the first place.) Good luck! Bob McNabb
