Glossy Vs. Glare Resistant Screen???

Hey Everyone, I am about to purchase a new Macbook Pro! Before I take the plunge, what are everyone's opinions on the Glossy verse the Glare Resistant Screen resolution option?

I Figure I'd post here since we all spend quite some time looking at the screen while recording and working on our music...or at least I know I do LOL


Apple says that the Glare Resistant is favored by Video people because the color scheme is more accurate. And the Glossy is more geared towards DVD viewing and ETC.


I am just looking for some info from people who have experience with one or the other....or both! I want to try and avoid that burn that one can get from being at the comp for too long.

I ended up getting the non-glossy based on my daughter's recommendation (she works at an Apple store), she has seen too many returns of glossy screens.

Very bad glare mostly outside, but also from room lighting.

I was at the Apple store and I noticed the glossy screen looks awesome right up front, but almost no image from the side view.

I bought mine with glossy and I love it, Glare hasn't been an issue yet atleast.
