Have to install 8.0.5 every day

The reason I did it the 2nd time (as opposed to the 1st time when the update was released) was to re-enable my interface (003 desk). it would get grayed out (in the AMS) and then my midi controller would not work with my soft synths.

The .5 update solves this. unfortunately, once I shut the computer down, the interface is grayed out again and no use of my soft synths (the next time I fire up the computer). I install the update and everything works.

Now, I just do this everyday as a very inconvenient workaround. But does anybody know why this is happening? my setup is kind of old:

1. imac 24in 2008
2. DIGI 003 desk
3. PT 8
4. 10.5.8
5. When I turn the computer on the next day, even though I'm having this problem, it's still showing the .5 update.

Are you repairing disk permissions after installing Pro Tools? It may help.
