EB7 external chassis compatibility

Hello,

this is my system:

Pro Tools 8.0.1 HD5
7slot PCI Express Expansion System (model: EB7-DIGI rev: B)
MacPro 4.1
Mac OSX 10.5.6



I would like to upgrade my OSX to Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

Is this possible continuing using the Expansion chassis E7B?
If yes, which version of PT 8 HD I need to install?

I tried to find informations but some documents says it's not possible, someone say it works…can you help me? Have you direct experiences?

This page says that you should be fine.

Pro Tools 8.0.1 software will be the last version of Pro Tools to support the Expansion|HD chassis. Future versions of Pro Tools software will no longer support the Expansion|HD chassis.

Both the EB7 and PE6R4 chassis will continue to be supported on Pro Tools for the foreseeable future.

If you want to install Snow Leopard, I would suggest you update your PT to version 8.1.1

What I understand from your link (but my english is not so good) is that I should not be fine because the last version of Pro Tools to support the Expansion chassis is the 8.0.1, but I know that if I want to upgrade to snow leopard I need to install 8.0.4 or 8.0.5 at least
