Timeline Color

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to find some information on changing the background color of the timeline, to make it darker. Does anybody know how to do that?

I would try adjusting your monitor(screen) settings(especially Brightness and Contrast). Flat-screens seem tougher on the eyes over the older CRT monitors(but we do love the screen sizes). I had an issue last year where I could not see grid lines in PT or note lanes in Melodyne. Turning brightness down helped a lot here

I've been waiting for this for years and years so we can stop wearing sunglasses in dark mixing theatres.
We do need more (not less) contrast. coloured clips on a dark time-line is much easier on the eyes in a dark room.

I've never seen mixing console screens with info on bright nearly white screens either. Why does PT have to be this way? It's not very ergonomic.

Please avid, let us change the time-line background colour.

It was requested on ideascale eight years ago so no doubt they're just about ready implement it in Pro Tools 2019
