Interestingly they recommend "a work around" for using the -10 input, also pointing out the need to make up about 10db.

The input calibration on the back of any 16X16 or 192 won't get near the level of adjustment needed. If anyone has any suggestions for us such as resoldering -10 pads or something, ((*&(&#@!!!) please let us all know! Thank you!
Hi,

I still get stuck with the preamp C24 question due to I am using the built in pre amp and the signal is really low while recording to avoid clip. That lead me to confuse 2 question:

1. If I use a preamp the clip and distortion still happen because the signal go through the mic to the preamp and final at the C24. Therefore should I use a preamp?

2. If I really want to use another preamp how can I shutdown the C24 built in preamp?

I have read through the Thread from Nathan about the C24 Preamp question.

Hope to seeing your reply

Iam using C24 , HDX IO
