Default Can I use my Pro Tools 11 on multiple computers?

I have Pro Tools 11 and I have a commercial studio and I want to start a home studio for editing after hours. Am I able to have Pro Tools 11 on two computers?

You can install and use it on as many computers as you want but you need your iLok connected to whatever computer you are using at the time.

Yes, but you can only run one at a time.

Just unplug the iLok and move it to the other machine you want to run PT on and away you go.

Indeed, you can install on as many computers as you like. The only computer that will OPEN AND RUN Pro Tools is the one with the iLok holding a valid license(of course, you CAN own more than one iLok and more than 1 license)

Default New authorization?

How much is a new authorization and iLok so I can run PT 11 on two computers without having to transfer iLoks?

You need another ilok 2 or ilok 3 and another license for Pro Tools.

Why not just buy another iLok and move the licenses through the ILM software between iLoks/computers.

He's saying you could just buy a second physical iLok and then transfer the PT license to it when you want to use it on your other computer.

So you move the license to the 'cloud' then when you get to your other computer, log in and sync them to the secondary iLok.

Good luck trusting the ILM software and iLok hardware to work 100% reliably if you want to do this a lot. And remembering to transfer the license before you leave one location...

Just do it the right way, if you need to use Pro Tools on two different computers a lot and carrying a physical iLok between them is too much hassle then get two licenses.

I was merely explaining what The Weed was suggesting.

Wether the OP chooses to go that route is up to him. The option is there.

If it was me, I'd just unplug the iLok and stick it in my pocket. But then I'm not the kind of guy that would forget to take it with me the following day.
