Default Getting a load of errors when trying to run PT

Hello,

When I try to open Pro Tools 12.1.0 on my iMac running OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 3.2 GHz Intel iCore 5 with 8GB memory I receive the following errors:

1. Error, missing iLok authorisation for "Pro Tools 12". Please insert the necessary iLk and restart Pro Tools. (I have the correct iLok it has just stopped working!)

Then I get a bunch of rapid fire errors stating:

Authorisation Exception: Pro Tools cannot run because an error occurred. HEAT cannot run because an error occurred, Machine Control cannot run because an error occurred and a few repeat of the Pro Tools cannot run error.

I would desperately love some assistance if anyone can help!

Thanks

Do you have your iLok dongle plugged in and is there a license for Pro Tools on it?

Hi, yes. It is plugged in and the blue LED is on. In the License Manager under my iLok I have:

Por Tools with Upgrade and Support Plan 2015 (NT) (4) Avid Locked Group 1of 1 activations Used.

When I go to synchronise it in LM, it asks me to plug the iLok in. As I said it is definitely in. All other USB devices are working.

Thanks for your help!

Default Is my iLok dead?

I have an iLok with Pro Tools licence. When I go to the Licence Manager and try to synchronise my iLok it tells me it is not connected, although it is and the LED it on.

Do I need a new iLok and if so, how do transfer my licence?

Your help is very much appreciated!

This might be a tough one(or inconvenient). Assuming the iLok is registered to you, here are the steps I would take:
1-uninstall the iLok software and reboot.
2-download the latest version from iLok.com and install it(reboot again)
3-Connect your iLok and open the software and sign in.
4-if the iLok is not being read, try it in another USB port(if you're on a Mac with only USB3 ports, try connecting with a USB 2 hub)
5-if its still not reading, start a support case with iLok(they may have you mail it to them so they can retrieve the licenses and move to another iLok).

I would also give it a try on another computer just for good measure.

Is your iLok on a powered hub? If you've got other devices on the hub, the iLok might not be getting enough power from the port on the computer.
