I am having this same problem, with the PACE error. I have an AMD Athlon chip on an Asus A7N8X-e Deluxe Mother board.

I recieved that error too...now I'm getting an NTSF error...had a PC build for me..2 HD's...AMD Athlon The error message stated that the drive names are longer tham 11 characters.... Has anyone recieved this message??

I'm getting this error too.
The Annoying thing is that on first install it all went smoothly and I had already recorded two sessions with PT 8.
Today I went to send the client a MP3 of what we had so far and PT won't run and gives the (0x80000003) error.

I'm thinking I'll have to do a Windows re-install, complete with all the cost implications that involves, but will hang on for a day or so just in case Digi come up with a solution

OK, I sorted it.
In my case, I had installed Edius video editing and the HASP dongle driver used by that program bolloxed up the ILOK drivers.
Reverting back to an earlier version of the HASP driver and a PT8 re-install cured the problem.

Hope this will be of use to those who are having this problem.

I also had the error, but it was when I was exiting the program. Reinstalling the PACE drivers fixed it.

No, it's a Q6600. Sounds like if it is an issue exclusive to the AMD, that's perhaps was DigiTechSpt was referring to regarding working on a solution - if so it will be a CS update.

My is a AMD Athlon XP 3000, I tryed reinstalling it but no luck.

Are you using any other dongles for other software applications?
The problem may lie there.
