Default About EuControl 3.2

EuControl 3.2 may focus on venue control surfaces / communication only but I have my hopes up for some fixes for the Artist series also. Taken out of context (http://www.avidblogs.com/live-sound-...oftware-4-5/):

… EuControl 3.2 software updates will be available in the third quarter of 2014.
Keep up the good work Avid! Thumbs up!

By the way: What's your most wanted fix for the Artist series and version 3.2?

Hi

Well, I think overall the functionality is great - but the bugs like:
  • bank changes (all faders, including all connected devices)
    i.e. 1 control + 1 mix = 12 faders = one(1) bankchange (bank)
  • shift+fader = 0dB shall work as well as for the Artist Control
  • faster loading and secure releasing of the devices shall be fixed.

---a dream

Cheers

Stacked eucon commands.
The "doesn´t always remember solo mode".
HPF/LPF slope control of the EQIII.
Gain reduction metering of dynamics plug-ins.
Better stability with show/hide tracks.

defo the surround panner! Completely unusable as it is but wouldn't take much to make it great.
Also a better way to keep hold of layouts when adding / deleting tracks

oh and on the hardware side, pots that are actually usable. like I don't have to look at the display to dial it in but look at the big screen while panning... (I totally understand this is a hardware issue not software, just wanted to air it anyway..)

Lululu, according to some its actually NOT a hardware issue. They designed the knobs to tweak value based on the speed of your turning them in some weird way. So maybe this could actually be a software fix. Its my main fix dream. That and surround panning that works.

For 3.2: Prevent app nap back (cmd+i). There's no check box in 3.1.2 and that's why it doesn't work with my setup. In 3.1 there is.

I would like to see David's own stock plugs, EQ7 being a prime example, translating better to the knobs.

I fear you people are dreaming if you think there will EVER be any new functionality for the Artist series. Avid wants to buy S6s.

Eq mode changing on th control to top to bottom left to right (ie like reading columns in a newspaper) was a massive improvement imho, much more intuitive that the old layout with lows on the right and highs on the left, totally the reverse of every plugin gui out there and not how we read english last I checked.

Now if only they had followed that logic and reversed the filters on page 2 at the same time...hopefully theyll be switched to make it all consistent soon.
