Default Is it possible to use MC Mix with HUI in pro tools 9 under Win7?

So the EuControl driver kills my mouse under win7x64 as I said here: http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=301462

So, can I use HUI instead of EUCON then? I found that when I tried to set it up as a HUI controller in pro tools 9.0.2, I can see 8 euphonix midi ports to choose from for send and receive, but no matter witch combination I choose, the unit just doen't get detected by PT.

I know PT9 comes with native EUCON support and some people said you can't use HUI with artist series in PT9 if you have the latest driver. Anyway, someone could give a clear answer? Thanks.

EDIT: Under my mac system I'm happy with the performance of the driver so far, this is only under my win7x64 ultimate machine.

I'm using PT9.0.2 and HUI with the MCMix. I'm using Eucon 2.5.4.
They disable HUI in 2.5.6 but apparently brought it back for 2.5.7 but I have not tried this. I'm not changing it until they fix the ridiculous "MIX/EDIT window follows bank selection" issue which they have left out of the last 3 updates. I bought fader banks so I don't need to mouse around the screen all the time. A concept which seems lost on AVID. They even put the "workaround" in the known issues sheet as "use your mouse".

Thanks for reply engininja, I forgot to emphasize that I was asking about under win7...so there is no earlier version of driver I can go back to. Already edited the post.

I believe engininja may be off on the "update" order...

I'm too lazy to look it up, but I believe 2.5.6 was the last driver with HUI for PT as 2.5.7 was the first with Eucon for PT...
