003 Console Not recognized (windows 10)

Hopefully you have it by now, but from the screen shot of your device manager , the 003 does not have a driver associated to it. This is why it is in the "other "drop-down with a question mark next to it.

I am guessing that you did run the install of the driver version 9.0.8 , now you will have to direct to 003 to it.

Try this.
Device manager , other , 003 and right click. select "update software", select "browse my computer".

This should be your path:
C:\ program files (x86); digidesign; drivers; dg003_64

hit next and make sure the include sub-folders box is checked.


this will load the current driver for the digi 003 to the digi 003

I have what I... guess?... Is a similar issue.
I'm trying to run my 003 rack through windows 10. Ive tried downloading/installing the 9.0.8 driver for it, but whenever I try to direct my 003 to it, there's nothing there to direct to in any folder it would be in.
Anybody else having that problem, or am I just making a beginners mistake?

Hey all. Sorry to jump in here but I have another quick question regarding the Digi003 Console. I sent a message to AVID over a week ago and have not heard from them yet. I just switched Pro Tools 12.4 from my Mac to a custom built PC running Windows 7 Pro and am having some issues getting the console to work. It was working fine on my MacBook Pro running Pro Tools 12 under El Capitan using a Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter. I put a SIIG PCIe Firewire card in the PC which has a TI chipset so I don't think the issue is Firewire related and the computer sees the 003 just fine. I installed the latest drivers for it as well. When I go to switch the playback engine to the 003 the program says that it can't initialize the console. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have dug through the forums and from what I can tell the 003 should still work on Pro Tools 12 under Windows. The only thing that concerns me is that the driver page has Pro Tools 10-11 listed as the versions for the driver. It is also listed on the Pro Tools 12 support page as an approved interface. Thanks.

Try disabling the Main outputs of Digi 003 in Windows' Sound device manager, so the Pro Tools has priority.

Meaning, make your onboard soundcard the default for Windows sounds/audio and leave the 003 for Pro Tools only.

Probably won't make a difference, but correct driver is 9.0.6 for console (they probably still haven't corrected website)... I inquired about it a while back: http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=374102
