problem with PT 8 install - digidesign audio drivers returned an error 2147213312

while installing PT 8 on a windows xp 002R system, after using the uninstaller to uninstall PT 7.3.1cs7, i got an error saying :
"digidesign audio drivers returned an error
ERROR - 2147213312"

i hit OK and let it finish the installation.

after reboot i got another messege :
"updated TPKd driver required, and or a reboot. please reinstall software or reboot."

OK, after updating pace drivers the "TPKd" thing is gone .

but i still got that "audio driver error 2147213312" when installing and every time i reboot my PC i get the "found new hardware" dialoge for the 002R and the command 8....

- i uninstalled protools 7.3.1cs7
- downloaded and installed new pace drivers
- installing PT 8 but get "digidesign audio drivers returned an error, ERROR 2147213312"
- then after install is complete and i try to start PT it can't comunicate with my 002R.

on top of that i get the "found new hardware" dialoge when i reboot...

please help me install my new PT 8.

my "drivers" folder inside c:\program files\digidesign\drivers

has only a Mbox driver "mbx2ccgp.inf"

maybe thats the reason i can't get my 002r to work with PT 8?

where can i find the driver for the 002r ?

if i uninstall PT completely with windows's add/remove programs, including Music Production Kit and all of digi's components, will my RTAS plugin folder retain my non DIGI plugins or will i have to install everything from scratch ?

not that i am that confidant that this will help.

it's as if the installer is missing the 002R driver.

please help me...
