As a fellow procrastinator considering the "deal", I too am confused.

My current feeling is they'll either extend the deal or they're going to put the price back up. Then a month or two later, they'll do another deal because they're not going to sell many at the old price having destroyed the perceived value of HD with the current discounts.

In the meantime at NAMM, or not long after they'll announce PT9 with ADC for LE and a much more efficient engine as mentioned here.... http://blog.mixonline.com/mixblog/20...pro-tools-803/
...so you can run as many VIs and Altiverbs as you can in Logic.

I'll then be very glad I waited by which time 12 core Mac Pros may well will be out!

If they DO bring out a new HD system at NAMM, (which I now doubt,) then I'll be glad I held off, even if I do spend a lot more money.
