Default HD2 NON ACCEL vs. HD1 Accel Core PCIe

All,

I am considering crossgrading from my HD2 (non accel) to the HD1 PCIe. I understand that the new card is an "Accel core". Will I actually be moving up in processing power even though I am down one physical card?

Thanks,
S0nguy
